The official music of Rio Olympic Games of 2016 don’t represent the principles of brazilian society. With many singers and famous people the video shows samba as life style of citizens of Rio de Janeiro city.

For instance, in Salvador city, 62,7% of citizens stay inside house during Carnival days. Why? Because carnival supports violence and drug gangs. Similar figures we found in Rio de Janeiro city with 74% citizens seeking rest because tourists increase. Dozens of ship cruisers arrive on these cities helping local economy. According FGV Study, expenses of tourists reach US$ 314.00 per day. But, the deficits are more than profits. Brazil needs to improve tourism schedule with more quality and marketing. São Paulo city annual income from tourism is more than Rio de Janeiro and Salvador. Why? Business.

First, samba is not made in Rio de Janeiro. Samba is a Brazilian dance and musical genre that grew in Rio de Janeiro from african and indigenous traditions. It is recognized around the world as a symbol of Brazil and joined Brazilian carnival. Considered one of the most popular Brazilian cultural expressions, samba has become an icon of Brazilian national identity.

But its origins are controversial discussions because musicians found similarities with forró, musical genre from Northeast and North regions of Brazil. So, samba got influences from African and ancient indigenous people.

Fourth, pentecostal churches grew fastly inside poorest areas of brazilian cities in later decades. It changed habits, expressions and ethics among the people. The biblical principles fight against original standards of samba. The christian music has changed european missionary style to indigenous roots defeating leaders opposition.

Early result of 2010 Census performed by IBGE, shows that Brazil has more 8 millions of black people believers in pentecostal churches among Brazil while afro-religions have less than 300,000 adherents.

Many Companies has been strongly invited to give financial support to Samba Schools with millions of reais every year. The number of audience has decreased and total participants too. In large cities, carnival is a politician tool because many poorest communities need more intervention and support.
